The Gola Programme is an Enterprise Development Programme funded by Assmang (Pty) Ltd – Black Rock Mine Operations to identify and develop sustainable local SMME’s within the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality.
The objectives of the programme are to identify and develop local entrepreneurs and to foster employment creation, as well as economic growth. The program involves intensive business development interventions in the form of workshops, as well as individual coaching and mentoring. Companies who comply with the following criteria are invited to apply:
- Must be minimum 51% black owned
- Annual turnover must be less than R50-Million
- Must be a valid CIPC-Registered company
- Must be situated in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality with proof of address
- Must be existing companies who are operational and trading for 12 months or more
- Must operate in non-mining related industries, in other words, the primary source of revenue must not be from the mining sector
- Must not be an active vendor of Blackrock Mine
- Must have a viable business value proposition
- Must be a good corporate citizen
